Friday Favorites #5

Happy Friday Friends!
It's FRIDAY, and I've decided to join a new linky party! Every week I will be sharing a few of my favorite things from the past week.  The goal is to share random things, but I may end up doing some themed ones along the way.

I'm linking up today with AndreaErika and Narci for Friday Favorites!

Last Saturday, Justin and I were out and about and I desperately needed a bathroom break so we ran into Barnes and Noble so I could make a quick pit stop.  Of course, on our way out I decided it was a good time to start looking around at books.  There is something so spirit-lifting to stand in a book store and look at all of the books to choose from.  In the end, I ended up buying
The Eye of MindsThe Selection, and Cinder.  If you have read the The Maze Runner and like Dashner's writing style, I would check out The Eye of Minds.

The best part is that all of these books are part of a series so if I really enjoy them, I have more to look forward to!

I have been loving these T-rex videos.  They are usually super funny and I am always getting a good chuckle out of them.  My friend actually ordered a costume... I should follow up on this.  For more funny T-rex shorts, check out this Imgur post

I had a friend send this to me and I laughed way too loud.  If you're anything like me, you say "Bye Felicia" way too much.  My friend, Felecia, got such a kick out of it, that she ended up making it her profile picture for a little while.  Every time she would pop up on my Facebook feed, I would laugh.  It is like the gift that keeps on giving.

I love companies that give back to their community and Buddy’s Pizza is one of those awesome company.  On Monday April 4th,  Buddy’s Pizza is teaming up with Capuchin Soup Kitchen for the Slice of Life fundraiser.

“Feeding hungry people is the foundation of our business,” said Wes Pikula, Buddy’s Pizza vice president of operations. “Partnering with the Capuchin Soup Kitchen has allowed us to extend our reach to hungry metro Detroiters who’ve fallen on hard times. No one should ever have to worry about where their next meal is coming from, and Slice for Life is one way we’ve been able to help fight hunger in our local community.”

Interested in helping the Slice for Life cause? From 11:00 am to 10:00 pm on  April 4th 2016, patrons who purchase a ticket for $15 can visit any Buddy’s Pizza full-service location to enjoy an all-you-can-eat two-topping pizza and salad meal. A carry-out option is also available for purchase at all 11 Buddy’s Pizza locations and includes either a 4-square two-topping pizza or a medium sized antipasto, Greek or house salad.

If you are a local Detroiter, make sure to come and check out this event! Tickets are $15 and the proceeds go to a great cause! I am planning to get a pizza myself on Monday!
