Our 4th Anniversary

Wednesday, October 28, 2015

Happy Wendesday friends! Today we are back in Buenos Aires enjoining the evening after our trip to Iguazu Falls.  Today is a very exciting day for me as it is Justin and I's 4th Anniversary!  I'm a bit sad that I will not be home to celebrate with him, but I will be celebrating today and spending time in FaceTime with Justin.

What an incredible four years it has been.  I have loved all of our silly times together laughing and the most ridiculous things and I have loved planning our future together.

Happy 4th Anniversary to the love of my life.  Here is to 4 years and 80 more!

Question of the Day: What is the best anniversary gift you have received?
I'd love to hear from you!

Anniversary Trip to Niagara Falls

Tuesday, October 28, 2014

Happy Tuesday Readers! I hope your week has gotten off to a good start and you are having a nice day so far.

This past weekend, Justin and I made our way to Niagara Falls for the weekend as an early celebration of our 3-year anniversary.  On Friday after work, we hopped in the car to make the four hour trip to the Falls.

If you can remember from about a year and a half ago, we visited Niagara Falls and some friends so this time around, we knew exactly what we wanted to do on this trip.  Justin had heard through a coworker that there is a Kate Spade Outlet store at a mall just on the other side of the falls, so of course we had to make our way over to the mall so I could do some shopping.  Because we had such a nice stay last time, we decided to stay at the same hotel as last time: The Courtyard Marriott.  I love this hotel because you can get a large whirlpool tub in your room for a very reasonable price - and trust me, I took advantage of the huge bathtub while I was there.

On Saturday morning, we took our time getting ready before meeting up with Nick, Laura, and their son Ryder.  I was so very excited to see them because this is the first time we had seen them since they had their son about seven months ago.  Unfortunately, in all of the excitement in seeing them, I totally blanket on taking pictures of us with them.  Let me just say, their son is absolutely adorable.

After a late lunch with them, we made our way across the Rainbow Bridge into New York to head out to the mall to do some shopping.  If you are ever in Niagara Falls, I suggest making a trip out to the Fashion Outlets.  The mall is huge and there are so many stores to shop in - it really is crazy.

After spending most of the day shopping, we made our way back to the hotel to get ready for dinner at Copacabana.  I love this restaurant and had been looking forward to eating there for at least two months.  They have some of the best steak I have eaten and their grilled pineapple is to die for.

On Sunday, we slept in and watched a movie before we made our way home.  Why does it always seem like the drive home takes forever? We spent the evening relaxing and getting ready for the upcoming week.

Question of the Day: What is your favorite Brazilian Steakhouse?

Two Year Anniversary: Part II

Monday, November 4, 2013

It is amazing how quickly two years can pass when you are having fun with your significant other.  On our actual anniversary day, I took the day off so Justin and I could be home with each other all day.  He had to work from home so I laid around and relaxed while he worked.  It was nice relaxing at home for the day and not having to worry about a thing.

After Justin was done with work, we made our way to our local Cheesecake Factory.  Justin has never been to a Cheesecake Factory and it has been a long time since I had been there, so I was super excited when we decided to head there for dinner.  Can you tell the menu was overwhelming? Justin was not sure where to start.

We ended up ordering stuffed mushrooms and crab & artichoke dip for a starter.  For my dinner I got the Chicken Medeira and it was absolutely to die for! I ended up eating only half of my meal and taking the rest home because I wanted to extend the deliciousness.

Justin ordered a delicious steak with a side of mac n' cheese that was very delicious and for dessert we ended up ordering the Original Cheesecake with Strawberries and a slice of the Chocolate Tuxedo Cream.  Then we ordered a slice of the S'Mores Cheesecake and the Snickers cheesecake to go.  We definitely spent too much money on cheesecake, but it was so delicious.

After dinner we went shopping at 12 Oaks Mall to spend some more time together.  I have been trying to buy some boots for myself but due to the fact that I have larger calves, it has been been very difficult.  I originally bought two different pairs of boots but neither of them fit over my calves.

Black Pair  | Brown Pair

As you can imagine, I was super excited to find some boots that fit over my calves! I found a few different pairs that fit over my calves and ended up getting a few pairs!  I got the two on the left because they are more neutral and can be wore with more items.

Left |  Middle | Right
After shopping we headed home for the night to cuddle and relax until we went to bed.  Such a wonderful anniversary!

Happy Anniversary Justin, I love you!

Two Year Anniversary: Part I

Thursday, October 31, 2013

Happy Thursday Everyone! I feel so out of whack because my week started a day later than normal.

Monday was Justin and my two year anniversary and I decided to take the day of to spend some quality time with him.  I'm very glad I did because I was sorely lacking sleep and wanted to spend sometime catching up {as much as you can} on my sleep.

Our anniversary festivities started on Sunday and consisted of us spending time together doing a bunch of "firsts".  The idea was to do things together that we have never done either just us two or had never done before.  The original plan was to go to Frankenmuth, but since Justin was not feeling well, we changed our plans up a bit.

The day started with us going to get breakfast at our favorite breakfast place, The Stuffed Bun.  I got myself the French Toast and Justin got this HUGE omelette.  I swear the thing was larger than my head.

After The Stuffed Bun, we made our way over to Canterbury Village.  Because we did not get to Frankenmuth, this was the next best thing and it turned out to be pretty awesome.  We spent several hours walking around and enjoying some of the neat trinkets that they had to offer.

We also enjoyed some of the beautiful leaves on the property.  It's hard to believe that October is practically over and we will officially be merging into the Holiday Season.  While I love the Holidays, I'm a bit sad to see them go so quickly.

From Canterbury Village, we made our way to Partridge Creek.  It's an outdoor mall in our area that Justin had never been to before.  We spent a great deal of time shopping around and I ended up getting some really pretty sweaters from H & M.

1. Green Sweater | 2. Gray Cardigan | 3. Beige Sweater

After Partridge Creek, we stopped by the house to feed the kitties and to get changed before dinner.  We ended up going to Sagano for dinner because it is one of our favorite restaurants for a fancy and delicious meal.

We both ordered the steak & shrimp and enjoyed the company of another couple celebrating an anniversary also.

Our evening ended with us carving pumpkins together.  I saw this idea on Pinterest and thought I would try it since Justin has a drill and it's less work.  I was wrong on the less work part.  I ended up picking the largest pumpkin I could find and it turned out to have a very thing rind which make drilling the pumpkin a bit difficult.

Either way, Justin's pumpkin still turned out pretty awesome! And he hand drew the Superman symbol himself.  Pretty great, huh?
