Check-In: Goals for Remainder of 2021 {11.04.2021}

Happy Thursday friends! I hope your week is going well and you are looking to a fun weekend head.  Today I thought I would check in on the goals I set for myself for the remainder of 2021 and give an update to see where I am at on those goals.

Goals for the rest of 2021

1. Put backsplash up in the kitchen.  Alright, I have to confess I did not get around to ordering the backsplash last month.  We ended up prioritizing our money toward a few other things which meant we didn't have the money to order the tile.  If I can plan it correctly, I'm thinking sometime in December will be the best option for timing, but we will see.

2. Finish all the projects that are 95% done. Okay! So the few projects I mentioned were actually completed in October.  Justin finished painting the trim in his office and I started cleaning up the paint on the tile in the bathroom.  Now I just need to go around the house to see what we are also missing.

3. Track my meals every day.  Wowwww, I totally forgot I gave myself this goal and did not track a single meal for the entire month.  Thankfully, I picked it back up on Monday so I will be working to stick to it this month.

4. Send a card to one person a day (not including Christmas cards).  In October I sent out 21 cards.  I have the others written, but didn't end up sending them out.  My goal is this week to get myself caught up on the cards and send them out.  To be honest, the only thing slowing me down is trying to video record making the cards for TikTok.  I think I will just not worry about posting on social media and do my letters.

5. Read three books.  I know this comes up a lot on my monthly posts, but I have been trying very hard to read more books. And here I am having not read a book in October... November will be better.  I'm going to finish two of the books I've been reading for a while.

Looks like I need to refocus myself a bit for November.  No shame in that though - that's why it's important to do those check ins.

Question of the Day: What are your goals as you wrap up the rest of the year?
