tuesday things {01.11.22}

      

Hello and happy Tuesday friends! Today I am doing another round of Tuesday Things! It's crazy to think we're already 11 days into the year.  It almost feels like 2022 is going to fly by just as quickly as 2021 did.  So here's five random things from the past week: 

1. Do you listen to Podcasts? I typically am not a huge fan of listening to people talk (like even talk radio) but I have been binging Crime Junkie for the past few months.  I have managed to get through one year so far and still have 3 years to go through to catch up the most recent posts. 

2. Over the weekend we celebrated Justin's birthday with our families and it was so nice.  I loved getting together with everyone to celebrate his big day.  Not to mention, we got to eat all the delicious desserts (ahem, Nothing Bundt Cake anyone?).  I definitely feel like I need to shy away from sweets for a little while, but it was all so good.

3. Starting this week we're trying to cook more meals at home because we kind of fell into this bad habit of eating out majority of the time and it's not only bad for our health, but it's bad for our budget.  So we planned three meals for this week and will have leftovers for lunch.  For breakfast I ordered some more smoothies from Daily Harvest.  I'm excited about them! 

4. It has been so cold in Michigan the last week or so.  I know it's something that happens every year, but every year I am surprised at how cold it actually gets.  It is like freeze your boogers in your nose cold right now. 

5. Justin got me the Dyson Air Wrap for Christmas and I LOVE it.  It is so nice to be able to dry and style my hair without too much heat.  I'm still learning how to use the curling function but I cannot wait to see what what kinds of fun things I'll be able to do with my hair.
