Happy Tuesday friends! I hope you are enjoying a great start to your week and have many fun things to look forward to for the rest of the week. Today I am doing another round of 5 Things Friday where I share 5 things from the past week. If you want to see past Tuesday Things, click here.
1. I am taking a pottery class and learning how to throw clay on a pottery wheel! I went to my second class this past Sunday and so far I am really enjoying the class. My first week we learned the basics of throwing on the wheel and I have to say, it's much more difficult that you would think. I made two pieces the first week and one was great and the other was.... an art piece. While it didn't turn out how I intended, I am excited to see what I end up using it for.
2. On Saturday, my friend came over and we watched Another Simple Favor together. Honestly, I wasn't expecting the movie to be as enjoyed as it was, but overall I thought it was very good. Just like the first one, the story had some really crazy twists and turns and kept my on my toes for the entire movie. If you like a whodunnit type of movie, I would say to check this one out (but not without watching the first one).
3. So... I started a YouTube channel! I am so excited to share that I have started Read with Me Jackabee over on YouTube! My first video went live on May 2nd and I am equally nervous and excited. The whole purpose of me doing these is to have a place for me to talk about books and connect with the book community. If you'd like to check it out or join in on the reading sprints, you can find me here: https://www.youtube.com/@ReadwithMeJackabee. Also, if you make YouTube videos or what to share your bookish accounts, please let me know!
4. Speaking of reading, I am participating in a readathon this month and next month. This month is Escape the Readathon by Read with Lexie and June's is The Amazing Readathon by Four Paws and a Book. Both are team competitions and so much fun. I find when I do these readathons I tend to read more books because I just have so much fun. Why don't you join me?
5. My friend and I are signing up for a 5k in August and I am excited. I haven't run any races since 2016 and have, much to my surprise, been missing them quite a bit. The only bad thing is I am basically starting over from a training perspective so I'm sure I'll get frustrated as I start this journey. But, no matter what, I have to start somewhere right?
Well that is all for today! I hope you have a wonderful Tuesday and great rest of your week.
Until next time,
Jackie
