tuesday things {07.11.23}

                                   

Happy Tuesday Friends! Did you have a great weekend? I had a baby shower on Saturday then Sunday I spent getting ready for the week.  This week is going to be busy but I'm looking forward to it.  Today I'm doing another round of Tuesday Things where I cover a few things that happened over the last week or so.  

1. For my American friends, did you go and get your free Slurpee today? It's 7-11 day today! I haven't gone the last few years but will for sure be heading out to get one later after work.  I love a good Coke and Pina Colada mix for mine - how about you? 

2. What kind of music do you listen to when you're cleaning your house? I feel like I'm never consistent and end up just searching a song I like on Spotify then let it do it's thing. Most of Sunday's cleaning was to "happy songs" which ended up being perfect for chores since they're not necessarily a happy activity. 

3. This one is a bit personal, but I got a false positive pregnancy test last week and honestly it broke my heart.  We've been on the journey to have a baby for over two years now and it felt like a slap in the face.  If you are going through this journey too and need a safe place to talk, please know I am here.  I'll sit quietly with you, talk with you or just hold a space for you.

4. We're on our second week of a no spend challenge and I'm happy to share we've been doing pretty good.  We did not get food delivered once and if you know us that is a huge deal.  Let's see how the rest of the month goes! I think we will do great.

5. Our calendar is starting to fill up for the summer and I'm excited.  We're planning a few last minute trips and activities so I'm excited.  What do you have planned for the rest of your summer?
