September: Month @ a Glance {09.01.23}

Hello and Happy Friday Everyone! Welcome to the last third of 2023 - it feels like this year has ben absolutely flying by and I cannot believe we're already approaching the Fall season.  Though, based on the weather we have coming up, I think Mother Nature is a bit confused.  We're expecting 100+ degrees on Wednesday.  Part of me dreads that, but another part of me is excited to add a new color to my temperature blanket.  We will see what happens - hopefully the weather stays calm and we don't get any more crazy storms.

September is one of my favorite months because it is the beginning of my favorite part of the year - Fall and Winter! So let's get into it - what does our September look like?

On the Agenda this Month:

1. Trip in Cali. If you didn't know, I'm going to California (actually I'm there right now).  We will be here for a few more days before heading home.  It's so nice to be able to get away and have a fun weekend visiting with friends and family.

2. Coloring, Coffee & Kindness.  I came across this meetup that my local library hosts once a month so I registered to go to this session and hopefully make some new friends and have a quiet hour or so of coloring and coffee.

3. Personal appointments.  I'm excited because I have a hair appointment and nail appointment on the same day.  And I'm hoping to squeeze a facial in there too because my skin is very bleh lately.  I'm sure I could take better care of my skin, but there's still something so nice about going to get a facial done.

4. Fort sleepover.  We didn't end up having a Fort Sleepover in 2022 so I am excited we're picking this back up this year! We will be doing something a little different with a theme because everyone is responsible to pick a color and bring snacks/drinks based on that color.

5. Sip & Snip.  I am excited because my friend asked me to a local farm where we get to go, sip wine and cut flowers for bouquets.  I'm excited to have a one-on-one girls night with her since we don't get a lot of time like that together.

6. My cousin's wedding. I am working as a day of coordinator for my cousin's wedding in a few weeks and I am so excited.  I'm going to help her with setup and help the vendors with whatever they need for the day.

7. Art of the Village. This is a very specific event in my area, but my girlfriends and I will be going to my downtown area to do some vendor shopping and enjoy a local market.

8. Ladies Retreat with my mom.  My mom and I have been going to a ladies retreat for years and this year is no different.  We will be going for the weekend and I am excited.  I really love going on this retreat with my mom and am looking forward to going this year.

Goals for September:
This month because I'm going to be starting the month in another state, I'm still planning on tracking my goals for the month but will likely have to catch up on tracking when I get back from the vacation.

Like last month I will be using a tracker that I created which was inspired by Evermore Paper Co..  Their website is still down, so I am using my version I created for tracking this month.  I'm hoping their site will go back up soon, but if you'd like to use mine, just click on the image at the end of this post - to be clear their version was free and this version is free.  I will not earn any income from this printable.

1. Drink 80oz + a day.  Drinking water is one of the biggest things I struggle to complete so I am going to make it a daily goal to drink 80oz+ of water a day until it becomes second nature.  Thankfully I have my Stanley 64oz tumbler  that makes it a little bit easier to get my water in every day.

2. Daily skincare routine.  My skin is still all over the place, so I need to pick this back up for August.  When I'm consistent, my skin feels awesome and I have to use less makeup.  But for some reason I cannot get myself to do it every day.  So this month, again, I will be making sure to continue washing, using serums, moisturizing (+ eye cream) and using sunscreen (only during the day).

3. Read 10 pages a day. I did not read a single page of a book in July and I am determined to read at least a portion of a book this month.  I don't know that I'll be hitting my goal of reading 12 books this year, but maybe with enough motivation I can still meet my goal.

4. 2+ blog posts a week. I really love creating blog posts for you all and have a goal to post at least 2 times a week.  I'd like to post engaging content and share things that you all enjoy.  If you have anything you'd like to see, let me know!

5. Basement cleanout. I think we will finally be able to tackle our basement at the end of the month.  I'm planning to rent a dumpster and we will be purging whatever trash we don't need and organizing the rest.  He has a few goals for the basement so I'm hoping we can get to the point where it's not a bad space to hang out.

Well I think that is everything for today! I hope you have a great month!
