Halloween Bucket List 2024 {10.09.24}

Hello and happy Monday friends! I hope you had a wonderful weekend and your week is off to a wonderful start. I thought today I would share the bucket list I put together for us for this Fall. Fall is my absolute favorite season and I look forward to the weather getting cooler and all the fun and festive things we do this time of year.

So let's get to it!

1. Read a thriller book.  I love a good thriller book this time of year and have picked up a few to choose from.  If you're not a thriller reader, I'd recommend grabbing a cozy mystery that's not scary but also has a mysterious element to it.

2. Pass out candy. Passing out Halloween candy to the neighborhood kiddos is something I look forward to every year.  We set up a table on the driveway, bring out the fire pits and pass out candy with our neighbor.  It's so much fun.

3. Go to a haunted house. I haven't done a haunted house in a long time but I'm not sure I will do one this year.  They're always a ton of fun, but due to budgetary restraints we may not get to it this year.

4. Enjoy a spooky beverage. Anyone have recommendations for spooky drinks? I've seen a few fun alcoholic and non-alcoholic options around that I'd like to try but I'm saving them for the Halloween party.

5. Decorate for Halloween.  I decorate our house every year for Halloween and have already done so this year! I didn't quite do as much as we normally do but that's okay - it was still fun pulling all the decorations out and putting them up around the house.

6. Watch a scary movie. I'm not a super big fan of scary movies, but I do love Halloweentown, Hocus Pocus and the other classic movies and will be watching them over the next few weeks.  I already watched Beetlejuice so I can check that off the list.

7. Carve a pumpkin. Justin and I will likely be carving pumpkins later this month just before Halloween.  What we haven't decided is whether we will carve real pumpkins or foam pumpkins.  Which have you done?

8. Go on a hay ride. Same as the haunted house, we are likely not going to do a hay ride due to budget, but it's always a fun time when we do go on one.

9. Dress up for Halloween. I know it's super late at this point, but I have no clue what I'm dressing up as for Halloween this year.  It's likely going to be a simple costume but I have yet to decide what I'm going to do.  I'm sure I'll figure it out the weekend before Halloween.

Well that's all I put together for our Halloween bucket list. I'm sure we will accomplish some of these things on our list (hopefully all!) over the next few weeks.

Question of the Day:
Do you have a Halloween bucket list?

Until next time,
