June: Month in Review {07.04.24}

Hello friends and happy 4th of July! I hope you have some fun and wonderful things planned for the day. If you're reading this in the morning, please be sure to wear your sunscreen and drink plenty of water. Don't want to get heat exhaustion - that is no fun. 

For today's post, I thought I would pick up another round of month in review. The idea is to share a few things from the previous month based on certain prompts. 

What's New
In June, we had a medical scare with one of our kitties so we have been navigating what that looks like now that she had that happen. Thankfully, she is doing okay and she has been very well since it all happened. Having senior animals is difficult and I do not look forward to having to say goodbye to them in the (hopefully) distant future. 

Monthly Goals Update
In June I gave myself a total of two goals: 

• Start my 5k training
• Finish working on the basement

I am happy to report that I did, in fact, start my 5k training in June. I only did a few sessions due to terrible weather and other issues, but I am glad I got started.  For this month, I am going to be training 3-4 days a week to make sure that I get ready for the race in August.

As far as the basement goes, we've had a lot of house issues that have made it super difficult for us to get things done in the basement. Hopefully in July we make even more progress - eventually we will get through all of the space and make it more livable.

What I Watched
In June I actually started watching two shows! Season 3 of Ginny and Georgia and Stick. I really love Ginny and Georgia and have been waiting to see what happens with the whole murder situation. And Stick is a new show on Apple TV+ that is about gold and it's so cute. Definitely cannot wait to watch more of the show with Justin.
