Helllooooo and happy Monday friends! I hope you had a wonderful weekend and are looking forward to a fun week ahead. For todays post, I am going to talk about some of my travel bucket list items. Last Friday I posted about my 10 year goals and one of those goals is to travel to new places. Ideally, I'd like to do one place a year, but realistically I'm thinking one place every two years makes more sense.
So let's talk about the six places I identified that I want to visit, or my bucket list items if you will.
1. Iceland
Iceland has been on my radar for a little bit now and is top of the list of places that I would like to visit. I am so fascinated by the fact you can make bread in the ground and the puffins travel there every year. And let's be honest, any animal that I cannot visit here at home is an animal that I want to go see. So I, of course, want to go and see the puffins in Iceland. I also want to go to the Blue Lagoon, all the waterfalls and generally just check out the whole island if I can.
2. Ireland
I found out through genetic testing that I am like 60% Irish/Scottish so of course both Ireland and Scotland had to be added to my list. In Ireland I would love to go to Dublin and go to see the Cliffs of Moher. Every time I see a video or picture of the cliffs my heart just goes, "YES. I must see it."
3. Scotland
Like Ireland, I want to go to Scotland to check out some of my heritage. In Scotland I really would like to visit Edinburgh and Glasgow from a city perspective, see alllll the castles and go to the Scottish Highlands and see a Highland Cow in person. They are just so cute and I'd love to see them in the Scottish Highlands.
4. Redwood Forest
While I've been to California before, I did not get the chance to go and visit northern California. I 100% will make my way to the Redwood Forest to go and see the giant trees. There is something so incredible about the trees and I would really like to go hike them or even just sit with them.
5. New York City
I've been to pretty much every state around New York but haven't made it a point to visit New York City. I really want to go and do all the touristy things but also hit places like Mood and Kleinfeld's. It would be so fun to just check it all out.
6. Seattle
If I go and do the Redwood Forest, I think it would be smart to just do a hop, skip and a jump and make my way over to Seattle. This one is is semi silly, but I'd really like to go to Seattle to see the original Starbucks. I'm sure there are other things I could check out there, but that is my main motivation for going.
Have a wonderful day,
Jackie
