Last 5 Things I've Bought: April

Happy Thursday Friends! I hope you are having a wonderful week and are looking forward to an
exciting weekend! We will picking out our granite slabs on Sunday! I am both nervous and excited about this.

Every now and then I like to do these random posts about the last five things I purchased and this seemed like the perfect time to share what I've purchased recently!

For as long as I have had my iPhone 6s, I have had a Kate Spade case on my phone.  I love her cases, not only because they're cute, but because they really do protect my phone well.  I'm a bit sad that at the coloring of the pictures online, because this case really leans more toward pink than purple.  One of the other biggest reasons that I love her cases is because they do not cover up the headphone jack and plug on the bottom.  I really get frustrated when my case gets in the way of my headphones when I'm trying to listen to music.

If you have been reading my blog for a while, you would know that I love Erin Condren and her products.  Like loooooveee them.  It brings me so much joy to have a planner and notebook that is colorful and fun.  That and my notebook and planner have interchangeable covers so I always have variety.  So a few weeks back while Justin shopped at Best Buy, I ran over to Staples to check out their latest haul of Erin Condren and picked up a few products I had been eyeing but had not purchased yet.  I also grabbed a few of the Paper Mate Flair pens because I had had a few dry out from my set.  I love these pens because they do not smear and write very smoothly.  As a left-handed person, I am very picky about ink because I really do not like having ink all over my hands and smeared all over the page.

Have you heard of Owl Crate? If you have not, and you like to read young adult books, then I would highly recommend checking them out.  I have had Owl Crate on my radar for easily a year and have not purchased one because I wanted to do more research on the boxes to see what they were all about.  So I took some time to do the research on the boxes - were they worth the money? Was the content good? Etc? And I came to the conclusion that I wanted to give it a shot.  The plan was originally to start at the beginning of this year, but I just kept forgetting to sign up until I got an e-mail from them telling me that April would be Dystopia themed.  I love Dystopia books so I immediately went to sign up for one month.  I cannot wait for my box to ship next week! I will be sure to share an un-boxing and a review with you all once the box arrives!

This is probably the biggest purchase I have made in a while and I am so excited and nervous all at once! In January I ran my very first half marathon at Disney World in Florida.  While we were in Florida, the team started talking about Disney's Coast-to-Coast medal and how it would be neat to try and get this medal.  To get this medal, you have to complete one half-marathon (or marathon) at both Disney World in Florida and Disneyland in California.  So the team agreed that if we could manage to get out to California, we would sign up for The Super Heroes Half Marathon.  And guess what! I signed up for the Super Heroes Half Marathon and I signed up to run a 10k as well! We are participating in the Infinity Gauntlet Challenge which means we will run a 10k (6.2 miles) on Saturday and a 1/2 Marathon (13.1 miles) on Sunday.  Yes, we are crazy! And I am super excited!

I am so excited about these two books! I purchased the first book (The Selection) on a whim a few weeks ago and I was not able to put it down! So of course when I finished the book on Tuesday night, I had to go out the next day and by the next two books: The Elite and The One.  I cannot wait to dive into The Elite tonight after I get my workout in! I will make sure to share a review of the The Selection in my monthly review in a few weeks so be ready to bet some more detailed feedback.
