June: Month @ a Glance

Happy June 1st everyone! I hope you had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend and aren't struggling too bad today! I am very tired today, but that's to be expected after a long weekend filled with Bachelorette parties and weddings.

June is always a fun month for us between birthdays, Father's Day and other normal things we do in the month of June.  This month will be a little busier than normal though and I'm excited!

So let's talk a little bit about the month of May and the fun things we're going to try and do this month.

On the Agenda this Month:

1. Fort Sleepover 2021.   I am looking forward to building a fort and spending the evening with my girlfriends drinking, snacking and spending quality time together.  The best part? Chrsitina and I tie dyed sheets for this year's fort so it will be extra pretty this year!

2. Dad's Visit.  My dad is in town this weekend to go fishing with his cousin, so we are making our way over to the east side of the state to visit with him, my brother and some of my extended family on my dad's side.

3. GCX 2021.  Last year we were supposed to go to Florida and go to our first ever Gaming Community Expo.  Unfortunately due to COVID, the event was canceled.  This year, they decided to host the event online so we will be joining the festivities via the internet.  I am excited to see how the event is handled.

4. Strawberry Picking with Justin's Family.  Every year for at least the last 9 years we have gone strawberry picking to celebrate my mother-in-law's birthday. This year is no different and I am excited.  It's one of my favorite things we do with his family.

5. Sarah's Wedding Weekend.  At the end of the month we are heading to Montana to celebrate Sarah and Karl's wedding.  I have never been to Montana, so I am excited to check a new place of the list of places we've visited.  It's also the first time we are leaving the state of Michigan in over 14 months.

Goals for June:

1. Read One Book: Yep.  This goal is still here.  This month I am hoping to finish Shadow and Bone because I started the Netflix series and now I'm obsessed.

2. Clean out the Garage. This was supposed to be completed last month but May got too busy for us, so I'm hoping we can prioritize this for June.  If not, July will be our best option, but I'm hoping for June when it is not as hot.

Question of the Day: What are you doing to keep yourself busy during the summer months.
