Happy Friday and Happy October 1st friends! Can you believe we are in the final quarter of 2021. This year has been so slow yet also moved so fast I'm not sure to be excited to surprised that we're finally in October. October, November and December are my favorite months of the year so I'm super pumped!
Today we're going to talk a little bit about the upcoming month and all the fun things we have planned.
On the Agenda this Month:
1. Dow Gardens OR Mackinac Island. The first weekend in October I was supposed to go away for a ladies weekend, but that ended up being canceled. However, the second weekend in October I have a day trip planned with my friend. Weather depending, we will be going to Mackinac Island OR Dow Gardens. It will depend on what mood we're in and how good the weather is looking.
2. Apple Picking with our Friends. I look forward to going apple picking every year with our friends and this year is no different. I'm hoping since we're going a bit later this year it will be less crowded, but either way we will have a good time.
3. Friends Visit for the Weekend. We have some friends coming to visit for the weekend and I am excited. It's always fun to have friends in town and I cannot wait to take them to do some of the fun stuff we like to do during the fall.
4. Our 10th Anniversary. It's so crazy to think that Justin and I are getting ready to celebrate our TENTH wedding anniversary. I'm not quite sure what we're going to be doing yet, but we will be doing something to celebrate.
5. Halloween Party with our Friends. I love getting dressed up for Halloween and I love spending time with our friends so we will be having a small get together with friends for Halloween this year. I'm not quite sure what my costume is going to be, but I'm looking forward to time with friends.
Goals for October
1. Read one book: I managed to finish 3 books last month, so I think I can easily manage to finish one this month. I have my eye on the third book in the Grisha Series: Ruin and Rising. Justin and I are planning to read this book together so I'm excited.
2. Order the backsplash. One of the goals we had in our house this year was to get backsplash up in the house. My goal is to get the tile ordered this month so we can get a plan together for installation. I believe Justin's dad is going to help us do the install, but it will depend on both our schedules. Either way, I want to get that done before the year is done.
