Blogmas Day 17: My 5 favorite holiday snacks {12.17.2021}

Hello and happy Friday everyone! This weekend we have a few last minute things we need to do to prepare for Christmas next weekend, but otherwise we aren't going to be super busy.

For today's post, I am going to share some of my favorite holiday treats.  Some of theses will be things that I like to buy around the holidays and some of them are recipes that try to make every year when we are celebrating the holidays.

My favorite holiday treats

1. Reese's Christmas Trees.  If you know me, then you know I LOVE Reese's Peanut Butter Cups.  I am always so excited around the holidays when they come out with the Easter eggs, pumpkins or trees  There is something so special about the shapes because the chocolate to peanut butter ratio.  I actually will buy a bunch and store them in the freezer because they are SO delicious frozen.

2. Reindeer Chow.  If you have ever have had puppy chow, then you know exactly what I am about share with you all.  If you don't know puppy chow, then you might know muddy buddies.  If you want to check out the recipe, check out this one I found from Joy Food Sunshine.  The only difference between puppy chow and reindeer chow is the addition of the green and red M&Ms.

3. Monkey Bread.  This is what we have for breakfast every year for Christmas.  It's not really the healthiest meal, but man do I love it! All you need is Grands rolls, cinnamon, sugar and butter and it's the most delicious thing ever.  Check out this recipe for some inspiration.

4. Christmas cookies.  Of course I have to shout out the delicious homemade Christmas cookies that everyone makes around the holidays.  I feel like I eat more cookies in the month of December than I do the rest of the year and I LOVE it.

5. Christmas Tree Cakes.  Do you know what these are? Every year hostess comes out with delicious Christmas Tree Cakes and I love them.  They are such a fun little snack and it's always a treat to get them around the holidays.

Well that is everything for today! There are other snacks that I love, but these are my top five favorite holiday snacks! I'm actually planning to make some more reindeer chow this weekend and I'm super excited! Hope you get a great start to your weekend!
