Blogmas Day 2: Small Business Shopping {12.02.2021}

Hello and happy second day of Blogmas friends! I hope you enjoyed yesterday's post and are looking forward to a fun weekend ahead.  Today I thought it would be fun to share some small businesses that you should check out.  During the holiday season, I think it is important to shop small businesses and spend our money where we know the money is going directly into someone's pocket.  Today's list will be a small businesses where I either know the owner personally, have shopped from their business myself or are local businesses to me.  I hope you enjoy this post and are able to potentially add some fun items to your Christmas shopping list.

1. Senja Imports.  This is a business owned by one of my best friends, Sarah.  She started the business as a way to support local artisans that she met while she was living in Indonesia a few years ago.  The baskets and other items are hand made by women in Bali.  The baskets are beautifully made and add just the right touch of beauty to any decoration.  Check out Senja Imports on Etsy and Instagram.

2. Infantly Cute Boutique. This shop is owned by my mother-in-law and her items are so adorable.  She makes some of the most beautiful customized baby items.  From pacifier clips to quilts each item is hand made and meticulously put together.  If you have a friend or family member that is looking for cute baby items, be sure to send them to her Etsy shop.  This time of year she has some adorable Christmas-themed items that are to hard to pass up.  Be sure to check out all of the customization options as she has the ability to do quite a few different things.

3. Riverside Bridal.  I came across this Etsy shop when I was shopping for a cute gift for my friends and wanted to get them some mugs for their camper.  They have a ton of adorable customizable gifts and I had a hard time picking which ones to get them.  Ultimately I landed on some mugs to go in their camper and they were perfect.  The products were so nice, they shipped SO fast and I loved them.  I will be shopping with them again in the future.  Be sure to check out their Etsy shop.

4. Aquaria DreamsThis one is a bit personal for me, but I worked with Aquaria Dreams to create a necklace for me to wear after we lost our pregnancy in July.  I reached out directly to the seller to see if they could add a charm to my necklace for me and they were so gracious and so helpful.  Not only did they make the item exactly as I had hoped it to be, they sent the sweetest note in the box for me.  If you need some adorable jewelry, I'd recommend checking out their Etsy shop.

5. Yellow Dog MarketplaceThis is for my local people (but you can shop online).  Yellow Dog Marketplace is a local store to me that has antiques, gifts and handcrafted items.  I love going into their store and checking out all the new and fun items they have around.  I have found some very cute items that I purchased for myself or for others as gifts.  Check them out on Facebook or Instagram or on their website.

6. Your local small business.  I know this isn't a specific store, but I thought I would share some other good places for you to check out for some good gifts.  If you haven't thought of it already, I'd recommend checking out a few of your local spas, restaurants, or boutiques.  Often these places are family owned and small businesses.  You can support them by purchasing gift cards to their locations, or by buying some of their items.  I know a lot of breweries/restaurants have deals around the holidays for food/drink so be sure to check them out!

Well I think that is everything for today! I hope you enjoyed this post and potentially added a few new businesses to check out for your Christmas shopping.  Tomorrow I will be sharing stocking fillers that are $10 or less.
