2022 Reading Goals {01.06.2022}

Hello and happy Thursday friends! I hope your first week of 2022 is going well and you've kicked off your baby Friday with some happiness.  Today I thought I would share my reading goal for 2022.  Every year it seems that I set myself a heft reading goal and every year I fall dramatically short.  It honestly doesn't bother me that I don't hit the goal, but it does get to me that I do not read more as I love reading.

For 2022, I have given myself the goal to read 40 books.  This is the same goal I gave myself in 2021, and in 2021 I managed to read 12 books total (kind of sad not, going to lie), but 2021 was quite a whirlwind and a bit of a mess.  To get myself going right for 2022, I thought I would share the books I have chosen to read this year.  I have picked out a total of 33 books and left myself 7 that I can randomly pick up throughout the year as new and upcoming books come out (or I get a book box or two in the mail).  At the beginning of every month, I will do a book roundup of all the books I read for the previous month - this will help me keep myself accountable and it's a good way for me to keep track of everything that I've read so far.

So here is my list of books that I've selected so far for 2022 {keep in mind, I am not going in any particular order}:

  1. Santa Cruise by Fern Michaels
  2. The Duke and I by Julia Quinn
  3. The Viscount who Loved Me by Julia Quinn

  32. Educated by Tara Westover
  33. The Wife Upstairs by Rachel Hawkins

Obviously I am planning to read more than the 33 listed, but I wanted room to be able to add books to the list as people start recommending them to me.  I think it will be good to also have room for a brand new books that come out throughout 2022 as I am sure there will be a bunch of really great books that are published this year.

Well that is everything for today! Have any books you're reading that you think I should add to the list? Comment below or let me know over on social media! I'd love to get some other recommendations.
