February: Goals Recap {02.28.2022}

Hello friends and happy Monday! I hope your weekend has been going well and you are feeling prepared for the week ahead.  Today I wanted to pop on to share an update on my goals so far after the second month of 2022.  I will walk through all the goals I listed in my Goals Planning post at the end of December.  The idea is for me to keep myself accountable for all of the goals I gave myself for 2022 and have a good way for me to check in and reassess if I need to make any changes.  So here we go!

Health Goals

ExerciseIn February I closed my exercise ring every.single.day.  That means that I have closed my ring every day this year! I am so happy with my progress on that and cannot wait to up the ante for March.  I'd really like to get back to riding my bike and pushing myself to try and get 40 minutes of exercise a day.

WaterFebruary was a bit more difficult when it came to drinking 80+ oz of water a day.  I think of the 28 days we have in a month, I managed to do 21.  The days where I wasn't at 80 or more ounces, I was over 60 so it wasn't too bad, but my goal is 80oz so I didn't quite hit my goal this month.

Fueling my Body: That last few weeks of February we ate out a lot more than I care to admit, but overall we did pretty good eating healthier.  Starting today I'm back on the home cooked meal train and I'm excited to say that we've already got our meals planned for the week.

Mental HealthMy mental health continues to improve every day.  In February I met with my counselor for my monthly appointment, made sure to take my medicine every day and continued working on communicating my needs to those around me.  It's like a muscle, the more I do this, the better I start to feel.

Wealth Goals

Here are the three wealth goals I gave for myself this year:
  1. Pay off all credit cards again (which should be no problem as it wasn't a lot in the first place).
  2. Finally pay off my student loans.
  3. Pay off my car.
In February we managed to pay off just over $4000 of our credit card debt.  That made a big dent in what we owed to those cards.  The good news is we have a few cards with little to no interest on them, so we can hit the bigger interest rate cards first.  Last month I mentioned wanting to have the big interest rate cards paid off this month, and I'm proud to say we're almost done.  We should be able to tackle them by the end of this month for sure.

Because my student loans are still paused from COVID, we allocated more money to the cards versus putting any money there.  I'm totally okay with that as we still have 11 more months to tackle my loans.

We also made a double payment on my car this month so at this rate we should have my car paid off by May at the very latest.  We owe less than $2000 on my car right now so the rate we're making payments should cover this goal.  I look forward to owning my car free and clear.

At this time, we have not put any money toward our 6-month emergency fund, but that is to be expected as we would not have paid all the debt off first.

Personal Goals

Goals for myself

Read 40 Books in 2022: I am so excited because this month I finished four books! My goal is 3.5 books a month, so I am right on track to finish 40 books in 2022.  Normally by this point my reading has fizzled out, but so far I am still loving reading and have already started my next book.  In a state of sleeplessness, I ordered 9 books off Amazon because there was a sale, so my already large to be read pile is continuing to grow.

Skin Care: Let's be honest, my skin took a beating this month.  I did go and get a facial so my skin got a deep clean and moisturize, but I need to pick it back up.  Thankfully, it's a new month so I can get myself back on track for March.

Blog Posts: In February I posted 11 times.  It's less than 3 times a week, but overall I'm happy with my posts.  I'm trying to not post for the sake of posting, but trying to bring you all great content.  In March I'm cooking up some fun posts for you all, so I cannot wait to share them with you all.

Instagram Growth: My goal for 2022 was to have 500+ followers on Instagram and post 4-5 times a week.  I started the year with 319 follows on Instagram and as of this post I have 329 followers.  I also posted 14 times this month which equals out to about one post every 2 days.  It's not quite what I had in mind as I'd really like to grow my followers, but I'm happy with that count.   I'm working to not just post for the sake of posting, but sharing little snippets of my life with my followers.  If you want to follow me on Instagram, check me out here: https://www.instagram.com/lifewithmejackabee/

Cleaning/House Maintenance: Cleaning was actually pretty easy for me this month.  Work was on the slower side so I was able to keep up with everything pretty well this month! I didn't get much purging done this month, but we did spend quite a bit of time updating our living room and I love it.

Business Goals

Here are the goals I set up for 2022:
  1. Have 500 members in the group:  As of today, I have 112 members in the group.   I'm 1/5 of the way to my goal for 2022.
  2. Earn $300 total: Like January, February was a bit slower in sales.  BUT, between the two months, I've made $20.28. At this point I am behind on my goal of $300 for the year, so in March I'm going to see what else I can bring to the group for sales.
  3. Expand my offerings for deals: In February, I applied for 6 different affiliate programs and am just waiting for my approvals.  I also focused on using the one that I was already approved for.  TI noticed the group responded well to those posts, so I'll be focusing on adding 1-2 sales a day from that affiliate program.  At this time, I do not qualify for the affiliate program I have my eye on, but I've begun taking the steps in the right direction.
If you're interested in joining the group, check it out here: Shop with Me, Jackabee.  Every month I do a giveaway for those that participate and as we hit new member goals I will be doing giveaways as well.
