Hello and happy April friends! How have we already completed an entire quarter of 2023? I feel like this year has simultaneously gone so fast and so slow all at the same time. Michigan has started seeing warmer temperatures and I am getting so excited to be able to put our new deck to good use! This month has a lot of fun things on the agenda so I am excited!
On the Agenda this Month:
1. Easter Sunday. I am not 100% certain what we are doing for Easter this year, but we will be spending it with family. My mom has already invited us over for dinner so we will likely be doing that. Outside of that, I am not sure what we will be doing.
2. Game Night with my cousin and her fiancé. My cousin and her fiance will be coming over for a game night at our house! They're getting married in September so we will be also talking wedding while they're here too. I'm excited because she asked me to be her day of coordinator so I will be doing that for her too.
3. Baby Shower for one of my best friends. My friend is due to have a little boy next month, so of course we're celebrating her with a baby shower this month! I am so excited for them and cannot wait to meet their little one. They're going to be wonderful parents.
4. Trip to Philadelphia. Justin and I will be heading to Phili for a keyboard meetup and visit with his cousin. I am excited to get out of town and spend some quality one-on-one time together. I love when we do road trips and the keyboard meetups are so fun. It's a great way to connect with others and meet new people.
5. Annie with Mom. I am excited because Broadway in Detroit has provided two tickets for my mom and I go to see Annie together. It was one of my favorite movies as a child and now I get to take mom to see it on Broadway. I've been going out to so many shows lately and I'm loving it.
6. Downton Abbey Tea. At the end of the month, mom and I are going to a Downton themed tea with my friend Vicki & her mom. I'm excited because it's themed so we will get getting dressed up and heading for an evening tea and carriage ride in our local town.
7. Brunch with the Girls. I'm excited because we have another brunch scheduled with the girls at the end of the month. I love that we've been able to get together at least once a month and just catch up. It means so much to me that the girls take time out of the busy schedules to do this with me.
There are a few other exciting things going on this month - like starting Invisalign and other fun appointments, but they're not as exciting as all the other fun things we have scheduled.
Goals for April :
1. Finish one book. I don't know what it is about me, but I am struggling to read lately. However, I keep buying more books. I swear I love reading but then I never do it. I am determined to finish a book this month.
2. Start the laundry room. We finished the pantry last month so now I'd like to get the laundry room started. We are going to be hanging cabinets, painting the walls, moving around the washer/dryer and updating the rug. I'm thinking next weekend since we don't have a lot of plans I'd like to start clearing out the space to get the walls painted.
