Welcome to another round of What's Up Wednesday Post! It's been a few months since I did my last round of What's Up Wednesday and I was missing it so I thought why not do it again today? What's Up Wednesday focuses on a bunch of random set topics and is one I try to do every month.
1. WHAT WE'RE EATING THIS WEEK
Monday: Takeout
Tuesday: Chicken Parmesan
Wednesday: Leftovers
Thursday: Chicken and veggies
Friday: Takeout
2. WHAT I'M REMINISCING ABOUT
With the fashion industry constantly changing it is rather wild to see the styles that keep coming back in and it's throwing me off that a lot of them are styles I wore in middle school and high school. Some of them I am super excited are coming back in style and others I wish would stay dead. I'll be curious to see how the next few years change styles as everything is cyclical.
3. WHAT I'M LOVING
I'm loving all of the Halloween and fall decorations that are popping up everywhere. I know some people are a little disgruntled that they are already here, but I am so excited and can't wait. Fall is my favorite season so I'm eagerly anticipating all things Fall.
4. WHAT WE'VE BEEN UP TO
Honestly, just working. It's been a bit crazy for both of us so we've been hunkering down and focusing on work. We also have been trying to save some money so we've been staying home a lot more. Honestly, it's been nice.
5. WHAT I'M DREADING
I really need to go and get bloodwork done for my annual physical and I'm dreading it. I tried to go in June and almost fainted and it triggered a bunch of trauma from my D&C last year. Thankfully I have worked through most of it and just need to put my big girl pants on and handle it.
6. WHAT I'M WORKING ON
I've been trying really hard to catch up on my temperature blanket that I've been knitting for 2023. I also have a bunch of little sewing projects I'm trying to get done for my niece's first birthday next month. I decided I wanted to make stuffed strawberries - just need to get them done.
7. WHAT I'M EXCITED ABOUT
I know I mentioned it in yesterday's post, but we got a new car! I'm super excited because it's our first SUV and it's so nice. I can't wait to really put it to good use and I cant wait to "decorate" it with a few functional things and cute things.
8. WHAT I'M WATCHING/READING
So I'll be honest, I haven't really been reading books lately. I feel like I'm always busy doing something other than reading and it makes me sad. Someday I'll get around to reading all the books in my collection. As far as TV/Movies go, a new season of Futurama came out so we watched that yesterday and we also will be watching Sweet Magnolias too!
9. WHAT I'M LISTENING TO
I've been mainly listening to my "Feel Good" mix on Spotify, Crime Junkie or Morbid Podcasts or streamers on Twitch. It really depends on what I'm doing that determines what I listen too and how much attention I need to pay to what I'm doing.
10. WHAT I'M WEARING
The main thing I've been wearing lately are leggings and t-shirts or this top from Amazon and a pair of jeans/shorts. It's been fairly warm here in Michigan this summer so I've been wearing whatever is weather appropriate.
11. WHAT I'M DOING THIS WEEKEND
Saturday morning I am picking up peaches for my mom from The Peach Truck then my girlfriends are coming over for brunch. It's been a while since we've all gotten together so I'm very much looking forward to seeing the girls!
12. WHAT I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT MONTH
Justin and I are heading to West Virginia for a keyboard meetup. We went to the meetup last Fall and really enjoyed it so we're making our way there again this year. The drive really isn't too bad (about 6 hours) so it will be a nice little getaway for the two of us.
