tuesday things {08.15.23}

                                        

Happy Tuesday friends! Hope your week is off to a great start and you're looking forward to your week ahead.  Today is another round of Tuesday Things  where I share five things from the past week.

1. We celebrated my niece's birthday on Sunday and it was SO fun! We had a ton of people come out and celebrate her first year of life.  The theme ended up turning out so cute and everyone had such a great time.  I had fun making her smash cake and just enjoying everyone's company. 

2. Today I had to go into the office and it's the first time in a while that I've driven my old car.  We got a Tahoe about a month ago and we always take that so it was weird being in a smaller vehicle, but man the gas mileage was so nice.  But I will say, there is something so much fun with driving the Tahoe. 

3. I found yet another knitting pattern that I want to try for myself and I'm excited.  I ended up ordering some yarn offline from Joann Fabrics in a color that matches our bedroom so my plan is to use the blanket on our bed.  Who knows, if it turns out nicely I could end up making more of them for friends and family. 

4. Speaking of blankets, my temperature blanket has been coming along.  It has hit the point where it is getting too warm to have on my lap while I'm knitting so I've been getting creative in where I'm placing it while I'm working on it.  I'm happy to report I was able to find a similar enough color to the one that was discontinued. I started using it last week and it's really hard to tell I switched colors, unless you know exactly where to look. 

5. I'm host fort sleepover with the girls in about a month and I am so excited.  We've decided to do a color-theme where everyone wears a color and brings snacks and drinks matching that color.  I'm excited to do the sleepover this year and to get some quality time with some of my girlfriends.  We didn't do the sleepover last year so this will be tons of tun.
