Tuesday Things {08.29.23}

 

Happy Tuesday friends! Hope your week is off to a great start and you're looking forward to your week ahead.  Today is another round of Tuesday Things where I share five things from the past week.

1. We are heading to California this weekend and I am SO excited.  It's going to be so nice to be able to get away for a long weekend and not have any responsibilities.  I will say I'm sad to leave the kitties home along for the weekend because I miss them and they get lonely.

2. I was officially told that my eyes have changed and I'm near sighted and should be wearing glasses more often.  I ended up getting some super cute clear frames and have been actually enjoying wearing glasses lately.  I'm sure I'll get over it quickly, but I'm glad I had insurance to cover most of the cost.

3. We went back to school shopping with our niece, nephew and sister-in-law on Saturday and it was fun.  I've been getting the kiddos clothing for school every year since kindergarten so it's fun to watch the kids develop their own personal style and what they like.  I'll be curious to see how their style evolves as they get older.

4. We had some of the craziest weather I've ever seen the last couple weeks.  We ended up losing power from the last storm which isn't a huge deal, but thankfully our local power company is amazing and had it back on in less than a day.  But that storm had the loudest thunder I have ever heard and there was so much lightning flashing that it felt like I was at a night club. 

5. I am SO ready for Fall and cooler temperatures.  I love how sunny and gorgeous the summer is, but man do I want colder temps.  We have been without A/C so much this summer that I just want to have cooler temps and not worry about whether or not we have air if it decides to go out again.
