tuesday things {10.03.23}

   

Happy Tuesday friends! I hope your October/week is off to a wonderful start and you are looking forward to some fun and festive things this month.  Today we're doing another round of Tuesday Things where I share 5 random things from the last week with you all.  

1. We got rid of so much stuff from our basement this past week and it has been amazing.  We had been collecting empty boxes and other things that we just didn't need any more so we rented a dumpster and quickly threw away so many things.  I feel bad throwing so much away, but it really is mostly empty boxes or things that most people do not want or cannot use any longer. We will still have more things to go through but it made a big difference.

2. We're going apple picking this weekend and I'm super excited.  We have been doing this for years and years and it's something I look forward to every year.  We don't really need that many apples, but it's always fun to get together with friends, pick apples, eat donuts and hang out.

3. I started decorating our house for Halloween and I'm excited.  I go all out inside our house for Halloween and cannot wait to do that again this year.  I'm planning to go through all the decorations we have too and get a better handle on what we've got.  I feel like I have so many now and need to scale back.

4. I'm kind of proud of myself because my rattlesnake plant started dying and I was able to revive it a bit.  I am usually horrible at plants and kill them all so I was thrilled when it started to actually perk up a bit after I replanted it in fresh soil.

5. I'm meeting a friend from elementary school for dinner on Thursday and I'm excited.  We haven't seen each other probably since 5th grade so it will be fun to catch up on life over the past 20 years or so.
