tuesday things {10.31.23}

     

Happy Tuesday Friends and Happy Halloween! I hope you have a fun evening planned filled with candy and fun.  Today we're doing another round of Tuesday Things where I share 5 random things from the last week with you all.  

1. We celebrated our 12th anniversary this past weekend together by going out shopping and having a nice dinner at The Melting Pot.  He proposed to me at The Melting Pot 13 years ago so it felt right going back there to celebrate this time around.  The food was so delicious but man was I full afterward.  They gave us a sweet surprise of chocolate covered strawberries with our dessert and it was so nice.

2. Anyone else an early Christmas shopper? I've already started getting items from friends and family wish lists.  If you need a quick and easy place to make wish lists for yourself or others, I'd highly recommend https://mywishlist.online/.  It's easy to use and allows you to put items from all over the web.  I've used other lists before but they usually don't allow certain sites and this one allows all of the ones that I've used so far.

3. We're planning to spend the evening passing out candy to the neighborhood kids then hanging out at home.  This consists of us setting up tables at the end of the driveway and passing out candy while hanging out by the fire to keep warm.  Michigan is always a wild card when it comes to weather so I am assuming it will be freezing tomorrow like the previous years.  Either way, it will be fun to spend time with our neighbor and see all the cute costumes.

4. 5. I'm reading a spooky book as part of my Once Upon a Book Club Halloween box and it's so good! What I love about Once Upon a Book Club is the fact that you get prizes with every book and you get those prizes as you read through the book.  For the Halloween box you can pick spooky or sweet and a few years ago I did sweet so of course I had to try spooky this year.  If you like spooky books, I would recommend Hemlock Island by Kelley Armstrong.
