ANTICIPATING: I think that the thing I am looking the most forward to is doing some "tiling" in our laundry room. We hung cabinets in December and we've had some bare spots in the walls that need to have something put there. I was debating putting up some wallpaper or doing wood accents but I'm thinking a stick up tile. I found this one on Amazon and I'm thinking this would be a good one since it matches the overall theme of our house.
CLEANING: Besides cleaning the house to get ready for Friendsgiving, I have been trying to organize our laundry room. We put cabinets up in there and I am so geeked to have more space to organize everything. I love how much more space we have and cannot wait to really put it to good use.
FEELING: Overall, I am excited for the year ahead. I've been working very hard to stick to my goals and I'm happy to say that I am still going strong. It may seem silly to be excited but you know the old adage - 21 days to create a habit. AND Sunday will be 21 days.
WATCHING: Honestly, most of my watching time has been spent watching streams on Twitch or watching YouTube videos. I am not in my TV era right now so there's not many shows that are piquing my interest. I think it's just this time of year when I tend to focus more on books or crafting.
PLAYING: I'm super excited because we're going to my cousin's house to do a game night and I've got a few new games that we're going to try out. I think the one I'm most excited about is Target Life. Another Christmas gift from Justin that we will be putting to good use with my cousin and her husband.
READING: I am still listening Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus for free through my Spotify subscription. I am really enjoying this book and I am almost done with the book. I think I will be sad when it ends, but I will definitely be checking out the Hulu show once I'm done.
I also started reading A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Mass. I'm a little bit behind on the trend but I am excited to work through this series. Justin bought the whole series for me for Christmas so I will be definitely working my way through them this year.
RECOVERING: I'm not quite sure that this counts, but I have been working to recover my skin. I tend to not take very good care of my skin and it gets very dry and has a propensity to peel. Last year I invested in some good quality skin care but didn't really put it to good use. So this year I am focusing on taking better scare of my skin so it is not so dry and peels less. 19 days in and so far so good!
TRYING: I've talked about this before, but we've been trying very hard to cook more meals at home and this has included trying new recipes! So far we've found a few good recipes that we like and I'm excited to continue adding more as time goes on. Eventually I will be creating a wheel of recipes on wheel of names where we can just spin the wheel every week to build out our menu. We don't like to plan too far out so this will help us not have to put too much thought into meal planning every week.
WEARING: It has been very cold here in Michigan so I've been wearing a ton of hoodies and leggings. I bought this hoodie from OFFLINE by Aerie last weekend and its has become a fast favorite. It is SO soft and warm and perfect for this time of year.
