March: Month @ a Glance {03.01.24}

Hello and happy Friday friends! How is it already March and we've completed two months of 2024? Michigan is starting to show hints of Spring (or at least we're getting false Spring) and it's making me so excited to be able to be outside more and not have the air hurt my face.  In general, March tends to be a quieter month.  We don't have family birthdays and as it's the last full month of winter, we tend to say inside more.

On the Agenda this Month:

1. Pedicure. I'm excited to go get my toes done with a fun Spring color combo and there's nothing better than an evening of relaxing.

2.  Virtual Silent Book Club. I recently participated in a virtual silent book club and really had a wonderful time.  The whole concept is awesome and a great way to make new friends and focus on reading a good book.

3. Tea Party with my girlfriends. There's a lovely hotel near to my house that does wonderful afternoon teas. I'm excited to go with some of my girlfriends and enjoy the tea and cakes and good company.

4. Brunch with a friend.  For Galentine's Day I gave my girlfriends coupons for things we could do together and my friend Trista picked brunch and coffee so of course I will be getting brunch and going shopping with my friend to make good on that coupon.

5. Woodworking Safety Class.  Justin and I signed up to take a woodworking safety class together but I was not able to join him for the last session.  So I will be taking the safety class with my friend's mother-in-law.  I'm excited to go and take the class and learn some woodworking safety tips.  We're planning to make a few things together this year so it will be great that we're both educated on safety.

6. St. Patty's brunch with my girlfriends.  Towards the end of the month we will be getting together to have a St. Patrick's Day themed brunch.  I love that we have our monthly get togethers and look forward to them every month.

7. Silent Book Club meetup.  I started a local chapter of Silent Book Club and have been working to schedule our very first meetup.  I'm going this weekend to talk to a few locations to see where would be the best place for us to meet.  The thought is to have at least once a month meetings (if not more depending on attendance).

Goals for March:

This month I am being overly ambitious with my goals so the list will be a bit long, but I feel very confident that I will be able to achieve most (if not all) of my goals for the month.

1. Drink 80+oz of water a day.  I slacked off in February on this goal and paid the price.  Drinking enough water a day really does make all the difference for me and I need to get back on track.

2. Take my vitamins daily.  I've done fairly well the last few months on this one, but I didn't ace it.  So I'm leaving this one on my goals as this needs to be something I focus on for my overall health.

3. Exercise or meditate daily.  Now that it is starting to warm up in Michigan I really want to make sure I get outside more.  Even if all I do is sit out and read a book or do some work outside.  I also want to make sure to do some type of physical activity every day - walking, cycling, meditation, yoga, etc.  At least 30 minutes.

4. Thorough skin care.  Are you like me and doing regular skin care is... overwhelming? I really want to make sure that I start investing in my skin care by doing a thorough routine every morning and evening before bed.  I have everything I need, just need to actually do it.

5. Finish one book.  In January and February I finished a total of three books each month. And while I would like to keep up that track record, I'll be happy if I finish just one book in March.  I started reading Donors, Deception & Death by Sally Bayless and am really enjoying it.  I'll likely finish it in early March as her reads are quick and wonderful.

6. Daily blog posts. My biggest goal I gave myself for March was to do one blog post a day for the entire month.  I feel like I do not focus on the blog as much as I'd like to and want to challenge myself to do at least one post a day for the month.  I've already put together a plan for the month and am very excited for what I have planned.

Like previous months I will be using a tracker that I created which was inspired by Evermore Paper Co..  Their website is still down, so I am using my version I created for tracking this month.  I'm hoping their site will go back up soon, but if you'd like to use mine, just click on the image at the end of this post - to be clear their version was free and this version is free.  I will not earn any income from this printable.

Well I think that is everything for today! I hope you have a great month!

Question of the Day: What do you have planned in March?

Have a wonderful day,
Jackie
