Happy Thursday Friends! I hope you are having a wonderful week and have been able to enjoy some wonderful weather. Michigan has been foggy in the mornings and lovely in the afternoons. I am loving this weather - I just wish I could enjoy it more.
About the Book
Becca and Johnny become entangled after a car crash steals the lives of two people they love. Officially, the crash is an accident. But Becca and Johnny are convince: someone did this. As they plot revenge against the person responsible, a bond -- intense, unyielding, and manic -- takes hold of them. And in an unexpected turn of events, they fall for each other.
Or so they think.
In an upside-down world where decay is beautiful and love and hate become one, Becca and Johnny find themselves grappling with reality. Nothing is exactly what it seems, including what they've come to believe about the crash. Question is: will they learn the truth before it's too late? No. The question is: when they learn the truth, will they care?
My Thoughts
This book was a bit heard for me to read. Usually I am one to get into the characters but the writing style kept throwing me off. For one chapter you are in Becca's head, the next you are in Johnny's head, and later another character's head. Once I was able to wrap my head around the writing style, I started to enjoy the story more. The characters are all very deep and complicated and you find yourself wanting to know more about them and how their story makes up a portion of the whole story.
There is a twist at the end of the book that I was not expecting -- but I am going to keep this one to myself. You will just have to read the book for yourself!
