October: Month @ a Glance

Happy October Friends!

Can you believe that we have already hit October? We are officially entering into the Holiday season and I am so excited! October is always my favorite month because we almost always have a bunch of exciting things happening.  Not to mention the fact that the leaves start to change and the weather begins to get cooler and everything just feels calm.

Things Happening This Month
  1. Double Date with Nick and Kevin (We're seeing Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children!)
  2. Babysit our Niece and Nephew
  3. Apple Picking (4 years strong!)
  4. Detroit Free Press 1/2 Marathon
  5. Halloween Party
  6. Anniversary Dinner with Justin
  7. Cooking Class at Sur La Table
  8. Sukkot Celebration Dinner
Goals This Month

1. Read {at least} one book.  I am still trying to finish What Alice Forgot by Liane Moriarty (at this point it's embarrassing), so my goal is to finish that one.  I also am planning to read Hollow City by Ransom Riggs as well as The Rule of Thoughts by James Dashner.  This is the second book in the Mortality Doctrine series.

2. Scripture Writing.  I really need to get myself organized on this area.  I think I am going to work on this at bed time to get into the habit of writing everything out daily.

3. Get the Dining Room ready! So in September Justin and I ordered our dining table and chair! I am so excited to finally get the table delivered to our house, but before it gets delivered, we need to get the dining room ready.  The plan is to get a new rug and paint the walls/ceilings before the table will be delivered early in November.  I am so excited!

Recap of September

1. Read {at least} one book.  In September, I finished Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children.  and LOVED the book! I highly recommend reading the book.  I was hoping to read more than one book, but I just ran out of time with all of the chaos happening around us.

2. Scripture Writing.  Heh.  I failed.

3. Date Night with Justin.  Justin and I managed to do Sushi Sunday a few times this month! I love this tradition.

4. Go through clothes.  I did not manage to go through all of my clothing, but I managed to go through my drawers and my shoes.  I just now need to get my actual closet down.  The plan is to finish this sometime this week.

Question of the Day: What fun things do you have planned in October?

I'd love to hear from you!
