What's Up Wednesday {08.25.20}

It has been SO very long since I last did a What's Up Wednesday Post! Back when I was much better about keeping a regular schedule, this was one of my favorite series that I did so I thought it would be fun to bring it back to the blog.  I am hoping that this becomes a regular post and you all enjoy reading them as I go along.

I'm linking up with Shay and Shaeffer to share what's been going on with us lately!

1. WHAT WE'RE EATING THIS WEEK

Justin and I have been trying meals from EveryPlate lately and really enjoying them! It's very much like HelloFresh (they're sister companies), but they send you everything you need with the exception of the staples (like eggs, butter or flour). If you're interested in trying EveryPlate, feel free to use this link to get $20 off your first order (which covers almost 2 meals for 2 people).

Sunday: Soy-Glazed Pork Meatloves
Monday: Super Smashed Burgers
Tuesday: Sticky-Sweet Chili Chicken
Wednesday: Leftovers
Thursday: *Shrug* I'm not sure what we're eating tomorrow haha
Friday: Takeout
Saturday: Saturday Seconds

2. WHAT I'M REMINISCING ABOUT

Watching my cousin get married last weekend was so fun and reminded me of how much fun we had planning our wedding.  it is hard to believe that Justin and I are coming up on 9 years of marriage this October and I'm excited to celebrate with him quarantine style.

3. WHAT I'M LOVING

Justin and I have been watching Glee and I am loving every moment of it.  We watched the show while it was on television so rewatching it has been making me so happy.  And I honestly feel like I cry every.single.episode.  It is just that good.

4. WHAT WE'VE BEEN UP TO

I think we've been up to pretty much what everyone else has been up to lately: hanging at home, working and doing what we can to stay sane while we wait out this virus.  I'm hoping we can pick up another house project sometime in the next month or so.

5. WHAT I'M DREADING

There's not too much I have been dreading lately.  This year is just plain different.  And at first I absolutely hated every minute of it, but now that we've found a new rhythm, I am starting to enjoy a more simple and less chaotic life/schedule.

6. WHAT I'M WORKING ON

I have been working on my first ever cable knit blanket for my friend's new baby boy due any day now and while the pattern has been challenging, it has been so fun to push my knitting ability to it's limit.

7. WHAT I'M EXCITED ABOUT

Christina's bachelorette party is in about a month and I am so excited.  We're planning to go to Traverse City and spend the weekend out by the water and touring wineries.  I'm just praying that our state continues to trend downward in COVID-19 cases.

8. WHAT I'M WATCHING/READING

As I mentioned above, we've been watching Glee.  I also watched Little Women last week with my friend, Caroline.  As far as books, I'm still making my way through the Rory Gilmore Reading Challenge.

9. WHAT I'M LISTENING TO

The last book I downloaded on Audible is Party of Two by Jasmine Guillory and I am excited to get it started as soon as I finish listening to Little Women.

10. WHAT I'M WEARING

My absolute favorite pair of lounge capris are starting to fall apart (hello 9 years of wear) and I wanted to find something to replace them so of course Target came through with their Stars Above capris.  They are so soft and so comfortable so I bought them in two colors! Check them out here: Target.

11. WHAT I'M DOING THIS WEEKEND

Right now the plan is to have the annual fort sleepover with my girls! I love doing this every year no matter how old we get.  It will be fun to just hang out with them and catch up since we haven't had a chance to do so in quite some time due to COVID.  Ready for time with my girls.

12. WHAT I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT MONTH

Right now the only big thing on the calendar is Christina's Bachelorette Party and Vicki having her baby!

Well that's everything for today, I hope you have a wonderful day.
