What's Up Wednesday {05.26.2021}

Welcome to another round of What's Up Wednesday Post! Back when I was much better about keeping a regular schedule, this was one of my favorite series that I did so I thought it would be fun to bring it back to the blog.  I am hoping that this becomes a regular post and you all enjoy reading them as I go along.

I'm linking up with Shay and Shaeffer to share what's been going on with us lately!

1. WHAT WE'RE EATING THIS WEEK

Have you tried Daily Harvest yet? If you haven't, I highly recommend it! We tried a few of the smoothies and we have loved them all so much! We're not usually the kind to try things that are randomly advertised to me on Instagram or Facebook, but we were looking for some good breakfast alternatives that are healthier than a bowl of cereal or pastries.  So far we are loving them and have already ordered our next order.  With it getting so warm in Michigan, a nice cold smoothie is a great option!

2. WHAT I'M REMINISCING ABOUT

Summer time brings with it a lot of fun memories of bon fires, pool parties and other adventures.  This summer I am hoping we get the opportunity to do some of the fun things we usually do in the summer.  We have a busy summer ahead between 2 weddings and 2 wedding receptions, but I am excited for all of it.

3. WHAT I'M LOVING

Have you ever had Crumbl Cookies? If you have not and there is one close by to you, you have to check it out.  Their cookies are SO good and delicious and mouth watering.  We tried them a few weeks ago for my birthday and oh my goodness.  The best part is they change the cookies every week so you have an opportunity to try something new every week if you so choose.  We won't be getting them every week due to how far it is from us, but my goodness they were good.

4. WHAT WE'VE BEEN UP TO

May has been absolutely chaotic between the three bridal showers, bachelorette party and wedding.  All of it has been so much fun, but I definitely am starting to feel the strain of being busy for almost every weekend this month.

5. WHAT I'M DREADING

For some reason, I am dreading my physical this year.  I haven't gained any weight and I haven't had any major health changes, but for some reason I am just not looking forward to going this year.  I love my doctor though so I am sure it won't be a big deal for me to go.  It's important I go every year since we don't know my medical history.

6. WHAT I'M WORKING ON

After finishing a baby blanket for my friend (who is like 8 months old), I am starting to knit a sweater for myself.  I purchased some velour yarn to use and I'm not 100% sold, but I am going to start knitting  to see how I feel as I get going on the sweater.  Do any of you also knit? I'd love to hear about the things you're working on!

7. WHAT I'M EXCITED ABOUT

Justin and I have been working on some things around the house and I think we're going to do our backsplash sometime this summer! I cannot wait to put that finishing touch on our kitchen and not worry so much about splattering when I'm cooking.

8. WHAT I'M WATCHING/READING

I am still making a very feeble attempt to read my Once Upon a Book Club (OUABC) books.  If you haven't heard of OUABC and you love to read, I would highly recommend checking them out! You get a book with 3-4 prizes that related to the book you are reading.  It's very enjoyable to sit down and read a book knowing you get a few prizes.

9. WHAT I'M LISTENING TO

Lately I've been listening to the Chill Beats playlist on Spotify.  Essentially it is a bunch of chill music that doesn't have words so it's perfect for when I'm just working on things, but need a little noise in the background.

10. WHAT I'M WEARING

I have been loving these dresses from Amazon.  I have three of them and they came very in handy for the bridal showers this past month! They are super cute, comfortable and have pockets.  Who doesn't love a good dress with pockets? Love them so much.

11. WHAT I'M DOING THIS WEEKEND

This weekend is my friends Bachelorette party! We are heading to the west side of the state to spend the weekend at a house with a pool and spend some time in the quaint little town.  My friend loves going over to that side of the state so I hope she loves every minute of her bachelorette weekend.  I'm looking forward to getting away for the first time in a little while.

12. WHAT I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT MONTH

June is thankfully a little bit quieter than May.  We have our annual Strawberry picking trip with Justin's family, then we will be heading out to Montana at the end of the month so I can stand up in my friend's wedding.  It's our first time going to Montana ever so I am excited.

Well that's everything for today, I hope you have a wonderful rest of the week and are looking forward to a long weekend!
