Hello and happy Thursday friends! I hope your week has been going great so far and you're looking forward to a fun weekend ahead. Today is Justin and my tenth anniversary and I cannot believe it! Happy Anniversary honey - I love you!
Today I wanted to talk about our annual trip to the apple orchard! We have been going to Westview Orchards for at least 9 years with our friends to pick apples so this year we continued that tradition with our friends. The only difference this time is our friends came in from New York for the weekend to spend some time with us.
As part of our tradition, we start our day off by getting some donuts at the cider mill or bakery. I usually go after the maple bacon donut, but this year they were out so I had some cinnamon sugar donuts and some cider. The weather was a bit chili and we were worried about rain but minus it being cold while we were waiting for the wagon ride, it was beautiful out in the orchards.
While in the orchard we spent time checking out all the different options for apples because Westview has a bunch of different types of apples to pick from. My favorite type of apples that we get are the Jonathan apples and they are so delicious. I love just eating them but they're also good for baking.
Once we were done with apples we got together for a group picture before we all headed home for the day. After the orchard, a few friends came back and we had pizza and played Jackbox Games until we were all worn out for the day.
Overall, the day was so much fun and I cannot wait to go back again next year! Now I need to figure out what I'm doing with all these apples.
