March: Goals Recap {04.03.22}

Hello friends and happy Sunday!  I hope your weekend has been going well and you are feeling prepared for the week ahead.  Today I wanted to pop on to share an update on my goals so far after the third month of 2022.  I will walk through all the goals I listed in my Goals Planning post at the end of 2021.  The idea is for me to keep myself accountable for all of the goals I gave myself for 2022 and have a good way for me to check in and reassess if I need to make any changes.  So here we go!

Health Goals

Exercise: In March I was able to close all three rings on my Apple Watch all but one day, and the one day I missed was my move goal that I missed by 6 calories.  I'm pretty proud of that for the month! For April I am planning to start going out for regular walks to help bump up my exercise.

Water: Readers, I stunk at water this month.  Not sure what was going on, but I really had no motivation for drinking water.  I managed to get at least 24 oz of water a day, but it's not nearly enough.

Fueling my Body: We did much better in March with cooking meals at home and ordering healthy alternatives when we did order out.

Mental HealthMy mental health continues to improve every day.  In March I met with my counselor for my monthly appointment, made sure to take my medicine every day and continued working on communicating my needs to those around me.  It's like a muscle, the more I do this, the better I start to feel.

Wealth Goals

Here are the three wealth goals I gave for myself this year:
  1. Pay off all credit cards again (which should be no problem as it wasn't a lot in the first place).
  2. Finally pay off my student loans.
  3. Pay off my car.
In March we managed to pay off just over $2000 of our credit card debt.  That made a big dent in what we owed to those cards.  The good news is we have a few cards with little to no interest on them, so we can hit the bigger interest rate cards first.

Because my student loans are still paused from COVID, we allocated more money to the cards versus putting any money there.  I'm totally okay with that as we still have 11 more months to tackle my loans.

We also made a double payment on my car this month so at this rate we should have my car paid off by May at the very latest.  We owe less than $1400 on my car right now so the rate we're making payments should cover this goal.  I look forward to owning my car free and clear.

At this time, we have not put any money toward our 6-month emergency fund, but that is to be expected as we would not have paid all the debt off first.

Personal Goals

Goals for myself

Read 40 Books in 2022: I got behind this month with reading books.  Do you ever have times where you just do not feel like reading books? That was me.  I started 2 books and finished the majority of both, but did not finish them in March.  For April I'm looking to read 4-5 books, but it will really depend on how the month goes.

Skin Care: I have been having the worst allergy issues which ultimately resulted in my skin being extremely dry.  I just struggled this month with my skin care and my skin is in rough shape.  So far in April, I have been able to get things going and have scheduled a facial to help my skin out a little bit.

Blog Posts: In March I posted a total of 9 time.  I had a rough week the third week of March and did not post for the entire week.  It makes me sad, but I was cutting back on things to help manage my stress.

Instagram Growth: My goal for 2022 was to have 500+ followers on Instagram and post 4-5 times a week.  I started the year with 319 followers on Instagram and as of this post I have 328 followers.  It looks like in March I lost one follower, but I'm not surprised since I didn't post more than 1-2 times a week.  I'm working to not just post for the sake of posting, but sharing little snippets of my life with my followers.  If you want to follow me on Instagram, check me out here: https://www.instagram.com/lifewithmejackabee/

Cleaning/House Maintenance: Cleaning was actually pretty easy for me this month.  Work was on the slower side so I was able to keep up with everything pretty well this month!

Business Goals

Here are the goals I set up for 2022:
  1. Have 500 members in the group:  As of today, I have 123 members in the group.  This is a growth of 12 new members this month.  I'm happy with that growth! I wish it was a bit faster, but slow and steady is better than no growth.
  2. Earn $300 total: March was a little bit better for sales and I ended up earning a total of of $26.60.  This puts me a behind by about $25, but overall I'm happy with this months earnings.
  3. Expand my offerings for deals: In March I applied and was accepted into 3 different programs that allowed me to expand my offerings to outside of Amazon.  I'm so excited about this because my members seem to really enjoy the variety.
If you're interested in joining the group, check it out here: Shop with Me, Jackabee.  Every month I do a giveaway for those that participate and as we hit new member goals I will be doing giveaways as well.

Well that is everything for today! Do you have any goals for 2022? If so share them here in the comments or over on my Facebook Page
