April Goals Recap {05.02.22}

Hello friends and happy Monday!  I hope your weekend has been going well and you are feeling prepared for the week ahead.  Today I wanted to pop on to share an update on my goals so far after the forth month of 2022.  The idea is for me to keep myself accountable for all of the goals I gave myself for 2022 and have a good way for me to check in and reassess if I need to make any changes.  So here we go!

Health Goals

ExerciseIn April I only closed all three rings on my watch 9 times.  For all of the other days, I was very close to closing all three rings, but just didn't quite hit my goal for the day.  April was a very stressful and upsetting month so I am happy that I even closed them as much as I did.  I'll share more about last month in a post later this week.

WaterFriends, I stunk at water this month.  Not sure what was going on, but I really had no motivation for drinking water.  I managed to get at least 24 oz of water a day, but it's not nearly enough.

Fueling my Body: April stunk for food.  We just did not have the motivation to cook at home or even really eat healthy.  We ordered out quite a bit and I ate whatever I wanted to.

Mental HealthI took quite a hit in April on my mental health.  I had a significant health/life event the put me into a depression.  Thankfully my medication continued to support me with my anxiety so I did not struggle too badly with anxiety.  I think overall I had 1-2 bad days and even those days were not nearly as bad as I was this time in 2021.

Wealth Goals

Here are the three wealth goals I gave for myself this year:
  1. Pay off all credit cards again (which should be no problem as it wasn't a lot in the first place).
  2. Finally pay off my student loans.
  3. Pay off my car.
In April we paid off about about $2,000 of credit card debt.  Two of the cards with smaller balances were completely paid off so we're only focusing on three cards which is awesome.

Because my student loans are still paused from COVID, we allocated more money to the cards versus putting any money there.  I'm totally okay with that as we still have 7 more months to tackle my loans in 22022.  Not to mention they extended the repayment requirements for another few months which is what I was hoping would happen.

In April we made a double payment on my car which brings the total balance to about $800.  I am SO excited about this and we will for SURE be paying my car off this month.  This is perfect timing because we are looking to get a new car for Justin.  His car is 12 years old and it's time to replace it before we get in the position where we have to pour money into it every month.

At this time, we have not put any money toward our 6-month emergency fund, but that is to be expected as we would not have paid all the debt off first.

Personal Goals

Goals for myself

Read 40 Books in 2022: So far in 2022 I have finished reading 8 books which puts me about 5 books behind schedule.  Honestly, I am not too bothered by this as I am almost done listening to one book and I am half way through another book.  The summer always gets crazy with reading and I definitely am in a reading slump so hopefully I can get myself on track this month.

Skin Care: Oh boy...this one has been quite the adventure.  I discovered through patch testing that I am allergic to a lot of the skin care and makeup that I've been using so in April I spent a ton of time replacing everything and my skin is angry.  Any time I make any changes my skin tends to start breaking out and this time is no different.  Hopefully it rounds out in May and I start seeing some improvement.

Blog Posts: In April I posted a total of 10 times.  It's a little bit less than I the goal I have for myself {3 times a week} but I'll take 10 posts as April was difficult.

Instagram Growth: My goal for 2022 was to have 500+ followers on Instagram and post 4-5 times a week.  I started the year with 319 followers on Instagram and as of this post I have 327 followers.  It looks like in April I lost one follower, but I'm not surprised since I didn't post very month last month.  I'm working to not just post for the sake of posting, but sharing little snippets of my life with my followers.  If you want to follow me on Instagram, check me out here: https://www.instagram.com/lifewithmejackabee/

Cleaning/House Maintenance: Hmmm our house seemed to be okay for the month of April.  There are some deeper Spring cleaning things I need to do around the house but overall I've kept up on my daily chores and the house has been doing okay.  Just have to do the few things that I need to get around to doing.

Business Goals

Here are the goals I set up for 2022:
  1. Have 500 members in the group:  As of today, I have 123 members in the group.  This is a growth of 2 new members this month.  This number is a bit lower than I wanted but there was a few days that I missed last month due to health issues and that definitely impacted that.
  2. Earn $300 total: April I saw a decrease in earnings but noticed I had earnings outside of just Amazon so I am happy.  Overall in April I earned $14.28 which is my second best month in 2022.
  3. Expand my offerings for deals: In April I have a total of 3 different opportunities of brands I can share deals through.  This has allowed me to share some awesome and exciting ideas with my group.  I continue to search out other brands and have my eye on one.  Fingers crossed I can get in with them by the end of the year.
If you're interested in joining the group, check it out here: Shop with Me, Jackabee.  Every month I do a giveaway for those that participate and as we hit new member goals I will be doing giveaways as well.

Well that is everything for today! Do you have any goals for 2022? If so share them here in the comments or over on my Facebook Page
