tuesday things {06.04.24}

Happy Tuesday friends! I hope you are enjoying a great start to your week and have many fun things to look forward to for the rest of the week.  Today I am doing another round of 5 Things Friday where I share 5 things from the past week.  If you want to see past Tuesday Things, click here

1. The 100 Miles, 100 Days challenge officially kicked off over the weekend and so far I've done one mile every day.  I'd have preferred to do them outside but my schedule was a bit wild over the weekend so I ended up walking the mile on my walking pad inside. If you want to join in the fun, I'll be doing weekly check ins over on Facebook and Instagram.  I also created a Google Group where regular updates can be posted/shared by everyone.

2. The Amazing Readathon also kicked off Saturday and I am having so much fun.  My friend and I joined Team Spooky and have both completed one book for the first leg of the race.  It's nice to have a direction when reading my books and I'm hoping I'll be able to tackle some of my very large unread pile.  We shall see!

3. I mentioned yesterday that I finished my very first crocheted blanket and I had a wonderful time working on it and giving it to the mom and dad to be, but my hands keep cramping.  It's wild how much work goes into using your hands for crocheting - I feel like I just need a hand massage or something.  I have another blanket I need to get done but I'm going to take a few days off before jumping back in.

4. We have a birds nest in our front door wreath and it has been SO fun watching everything.  I feel like one day I was checking to see how the nest was going along and now we have six little baby birds hanging out in our front door.  It's a bit messy with all the poo poo, but I'm happy we could provide a safe place for the birds to raise their little ones.  Below is a photo I took yesterday - please excuse all the poop.

5. We had a meeting with our financial planner to talk about retirement and other stuff and overall I think it went well.  I know it's important to plan for the future, it just sometimes seems so odd to be thinking about something that will be happening 30+ years from now.  Either way, we seem to be on track for retirement at whatever the retirement age is at that time.

Well that's everything for this Tuesday! I hope you have a great rest of your week.

Have a wonderful day,
Jackie
