July Month in Review {08.04.25}

Monday, August 4, 2025

Hello and happy Monday friends! I hope you had a wonderful weekend and the Sunday scaries weren't too bad for you. We had a fun weekend going to movies and checking out book stores. Not to mention that for the first time in a little while we got to sleep in on Saturday.

For today's post, I thought I would pick up another round of month in review. The idea is to share a few things from the previous month based on certain prompts.

What's New
July was filled with a lot of fun and exciting things between travel and celebrations, so while we did so many fun things, there really is not a lot of new things happening. And that is exactly how I would like it. Life can be so crazy at times that it is sometimes nice to have things just stay status quo.

Monthly Goals Update
In July I gave myself a total of two goals:
  • Start my 5k training
  • Finish working on the basement

I did not do nearly as much training for the 5k that I should have in July, but between the travel and the heat/bad weather I have not been able to get outside and get some training done. At this point, I will just be going into the 5k blind and doing what I can to finish the race. I am 100% confident I can finish the 5k, I just had a time in mind that I do not believe I will be meeting at this point.

The basement did not get any work over the past month and I am okay with that. Life was crazy busy and we had to prioritize certain things over the basement. Thankfully we made a minor change to hubby's office which made the space much cooler for him and more bearable for the summer.

Top Performing Posts for July
I had three posts that performed fairly well and I am excited.  The main three are below. If you want to read them, just click on the link:

What I Watched
In July I started and finished season one of Sullivan's Crossing on Netflix. If you were a fan of One Tree Hill or Gilmore Girls, then you will likely enjoy this one.

What I Read

I read a total of three books last month and did a post earlier this week about what I read. Head over to that post here: July Book Review

Last Month's Spotify Playlist
I'm stuck on the Summer Hits 2025 playlist and it's a lot of fun. I need to have upbeat music and this one brings me so much joy.

Well that is all for today. Thanks for checking out my month in review!

Have a wonderful day,
Jackie
