What's Up Wednesday {07.28.2021}

Welcome to another round of What's Up Wednesday Post! Back when I was much better about keeping a regular schedule, this was one of my favorite series that I did so I thought it would be fun to bring it back to the blog.  I am hoping that this becomes a regular post and you all enjoy reading them as I go along.

I'm linking up with Shay and Shaeffer to share what's been going on with us lately!

1. WHAT WE'RE EATING THIS WEEK

Over the weekend Michigan had some nasty weather which resulted in us losing power and ultimately the food in the fridge.  So this week we're doing take out with Grubhub and Doordash.  Next week we are going to start cooking at home again to save some money and start eating healthier.

2. WHAT I'M REMINISCING ABOUT

It's our youngest kitty, Maple's, birthday this week and I have been thinking about her when we first got her.  How small and squeaky she was.  Now she's still just as squeaky and cute, but also a huge pain in my booty.

3. WHAT I'M LOVING

I have been spending a lot of time shopping for Christmas gifts for family/friends this year and really like shopping on Pick Your Plum.  They have some really neat items and the variety changes from day-to-day depending on what they have available.  If you haven't checked them out before, I'd recommend looking through their stuff!

4. WHAT WE'VE BEEN UP TO

We have been mostly spending time at home enjoying some peace and quiet after the chaos of the last few months.  I am looking forward to having a few weekends where we aren't busy for the entire day.  We've also spent time going through some of the junk we have around the house and decluttering as we get ready for fall.

5. WHAT I'M DREADING

A few weeks ago I had to go to the doctor to get a few tests done which required them to take a lot of blood.  From what we can tell, I just have an iron deficiency, but I have to go back in a few weeks and I hate getting my blood drawn.

6. WHAT I'M WORKING ON

I've been working on Christmas gifts for our friends and I am very excited with how they are turning out.  I cannot wait to do a blog post about them and share the creative process with you all! I'm thinking I'll do the post sometime in October so if you want to make some too you can potentially make some for yourself.

7. WHAT I'M EXCITED ABOUT

I'm going to a Harry Potter birthday thing this weekend with my friend Vicki and I'm very excited.  We're also going to our local bakery to get some milkshakes and I am so excited.  I love spending time with my girlfriends.  I'm also excited about the shirt that I got for Sunday too! I have been loving tie dye and it's Harry Potter themed.

8. WHAT I'M WATCHING/READING

When we went to visit our friends last weekend, we started listening to As Old As Time: A Twisted Tale.  Have you heard of the Twisted Tale series? Essentially the premise of the books is to ask the "what if?" question.  Like As Old As Time asks "What if Belle's Mother Cursed the Beast?"

9. WHAT I'M LISTENING TO

I have been loving a few different stations on Spotify lately.  Mostly pop music, but when I really need to concentrate on work or something, I will listen to the "Chill Beats Music" station which is just instrumental music.

10. WHAT I'M WEARING

Same old "work from home" attire: leggings and t-shirts.  If I am feeling like I need to dress up a little, I'll throw on some jeans or a nicer top.  But in general leggings and t-shirts.

11. WHAT I'M DOING THIS WEEKEND

We have a few fun things planned with family/friends this weekend and I'm hoping to continue working on cleaning/decluttering the house.  We've been so busy lately that it will be nice to work on the house a little bit.

12. WHAT I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT MONTH

Next month we have a little quieter schedule which is awesome! The biggest thing I am looking forward to is our trip to Raleigh.  We're going down for a long weekend and will be visiting with family and friends while we're there.  It's a city I've not been to so of course I've made a list of places I want to go visit.

Well that's everything for today, I hope you have a wonderful rest of the week and are looking forward to a long weekend!
