June: Month @ a Glance {06.01.23}

Hello and happy June everyone! Hard to believe we've already made our way into the 6th month of 2023.  June is always a crazy, fun and family-filled month but I would not have it any other way.  I love that we always have a bunch of things to look forward to every June. Plus, the weather is looking to be absolutely beautiful so I am really excited.  

On the Agenda this Month:

1. Facial with my Mama.  Mom and I have been trying to get regular facials at our local salon.  I love getting this done because I have a tendency to have way too much dry skin on my face (especially the t-zone).  So the facial helps with that mess.  

2. Brunch with the girls.  I am happy to share that we've been doing a great job actually getting together once a month for brunch.  Not everyone comes every month, but we've held at least 1 brunch or game night a month.  I love this time with my girlfriends and very much look forward to it.

3. Dinner with a coworker.  I'm excited because my coworker is going to come up and we're going to go out to dinner at my favorite restaurant! She hasn't come up here before so it will be so fun to show her around my hometown.

4. Game Night with my cousins.  This has been attempted to be planned the last few months but I'm excited because as of right now we're doing a little game night with a few of my cousin's and their partners.  The last one we did was a great time so I'm excited.

5. Strawberry picking with Justin's family.  Every year we make our way to get strawberries for his mom's birthday and this year will be no different.  I look forward to this tradition every year and I'm excited because we will have so much more room with our new deep freezer that comes this weekend!

6. Wedding Brunch for my cousin.  I'm excited to celebrate my cousin as she gets ready to get married this fall.  Our family is putting a small brunch together to celebrate her upcoming nuptials.

7. Father's Day festivities.  The plan still needs to be ironed out, but we are going to celebrate Father's Day with our dads.  Just waiting to see what my brother can/cannot do for Father's Day this year.

8. Birthday party for my kiddo's little one. We haven't been able to attend her birthday the last few years so I am excited to be able to celebrate her 4th birthday this year!  

Goals for June :

1. Finish one book. My reading has been SO bad this year.  So I'm really hoping I can finish at least one book this month.  This can be accomplished by reading or by listening.  I think I've hit the point where I have such a large to be read pile that I don't know where to start.  But I am determined to finish at least one. 

2.  Finish organizing the garage.  We spent some time this weekend cleaning out the garage and getting ready for our new car.  But we realized we have more stuff than we need and need to purge a lot of trash.  I cannot wait to make our way through the whole house and get rid of stuff.  But for now, we will start in the garage.
