Rory Gilmore Reading Challenge: Book #4

Happy Sunday Friend! I hope you are having a wonderful weekend so far.  This weekend has be absolutely gorgeous! It feels like Mother Nature finally figured out what season we're in and is giving us Michiganders a bit of a reprieve.

I am so excited to share the fourth book in the Rory Gilmore Reading Challenge: Alice in Wonderland!

Before I get into the review, I wanted to add a little disclaimer: Caroline and I started this journey back in September, so some of these books were read a ways back.  I finally felt like I had the time to take a break and write up my reviews of the books.  Eventually, I will catch up and my posts will be based on when I finish books, but for now I am sharing reviews from books read in 2019.  If you want to check out all of the books we've read so far, check out the Rory Gilmore Reading Challenge page on my blog or check me out on Goodreads.

Reason I Picked this Book:
Since we started our reading challenge out with the intent to read shorter books in the beginning, it made sense to pick this book.  It was not too long and it was a story we both knew well.  PLUS, it's a fun story that we both enjoyed growing.

What's this Book About
On an ordinary summer's afternoon, Alice tumbles down a hole and an extraordinary adventure begins. In a strange world with even stranger characters, she meets a rabbit with a pocket watch, joins a Mad Hatter's Tea Party, and plays croquet with the Queen! Lost in this fantasy land, Alice finds herself growing more and more curious by the minute . . .

Recommended For:
I would recommend this book for readers of all ages.  It is highly entertaining and piqures the reader's interest from the very beginning.

Something to Know:
The Cheshire Cat is not quite what you would have expected and Alice is a little bit more sneaky than you'd originally think her to be.  Also, you can listen to the book for free on YouTube! It's a great narrator and worth the listen.

Overall Rating: 4.0 out of 5.0 Stars
I enjoyed the book and all of the twists and turns that it took me on.  This is a book I would likely read/listen to multiple times.
